Gummy bears were actually invented somewhere in Germany.A candy maker in Bonn named Hans Riegel, invented the Dancing Bear in 1920 and became popular in 1922. Dancing Bear was a fruit-flavored gum in shape of a bear. Trolli was another type of gummy candy and the first to introduce Gmmy Worms in 1981.
